GuestReading some of these posts bring back some good memories of the Bachi
1986-1990. Anyone see or here from Lee Gately, Bob O'Connor, Mike Boykin,
Dan Morgan, Ramos, Sealy, Don Lambert? Who can ever forget standing CIC
watches port and starborad for six months straight...How about all the
EW's and the ET's filling in on watches because there were only about
6-OS's in the division. Remember asking to be a part of the team that
went into Oman to unload C-140's just to get a can or two of beer in the
Indian Ocean back in 1988. Great to hear from anyone who served on the
Surabachi from that era or in Operations Department. Take care and get in
touch. Bill Bill Shapcott---OS2 bshapcott@iss.k12.nc.us

GuestI was looking for some info on the "Bachi" for my retirement
next July and was surprised to find this website and names I remember. I
was onboard from 1989-1992. LOTS of good memories. Diane Tinker diane.tinker@navy.mil

GuestHey Bill,
Duke May here. stopped by the site to look up old friends and
saw your name. drop me a line.
I remember the masirah to ras al had
shuffle very well. 2 beers after a hot day in the dessert was enough to sit
you down for a few minutes thats for sure.
